6/16 at 11:31 p.m. Scott Dingwell Jr., 29, of North Raymond
Road, Gray, was arrested by Officer Kevin Conger and charged with
refusing to submit to arrest or detention, attaching false plates,
assault and disorderly conduct.

Summonses

6/13 at 9:49 p.m. Lucas Chase, 18, of Snowhill Road, New
Gloucester, was issued a summons by Officer Kevin Conger on a charge
of sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

6/14 at 9:40 p.m. Nicholas Leeman, 20, of Colonial Avenue,
South Portland, was issued a summons by Officer Kevin Conger on a
charge of operating while license is suspended or revoked.

6/14 at 9:40 p.m.  Zachary Chase, 19, of Washington
Avenue, Portland, was issued a summons by Officer Kevin Conger on a
charge of permitting unlawful use.

Covering the private parts

6/15 at 2:20 p.m. A Glen Road resident complained to police that his neighbor had covered up the “Private Road” portion of the street sign with paint. When an officer responded, the resident admitted he had not witnessed his neighbor painting the sign. Everyone the officer talked to in the neighborhood denied painting it.

Hog and snake heaven

6/13 at 12:27 p.m. Officers were called to Street Cycles on Route 1 to get rid of a snake that was found behind the fuel tank in back of the building. Police captured the 3-foot-long kingsnake and released it into the wild.

Making lemonade from beer cans

6/17 at 1:27 a.m. Falmouth High School was the beneficiary of confiscated beer cans after police broke up a party in Underwood Park on Foreside Road. Officers had spotted two empty cars in the lot and discovered the beer along with six teens and young adults around a campfire they’d made in the park. Three of the party-goers were age 21, one was 20 and three were 19. The 21-year-olds reportedly claimed they had been the only ones drinking the beer. Officers gave each of them a warning, emptied the beer cans and placed all the cans in the donation box, with proceeds that will go to benefit the high school.
