5/25 at 1:39 a.m. Tara Ignatius, 26, of Portland, was arrested on Falmouth Road by Officer Kurt Fegan on a charge of operating under the influence.

5/26 at 1:10 p.m. Neill Grant, 32, of North Yarmouth, was arrested on Route 1 by Officer Stephen Hamilton on a warrant for another agency.

Summonses

5/25 at 4:48 p.m. Johnathan Palman, 25, of Woodlands Drive, was summonsed on Maplewood Circle by Sgt. Frank Soule on a charge of failing to notify of a motor vehicle accident and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

5/28 at 1:38 p.m. Sean McGrady, 18, of Windham, was summonsed in front of the middle school on Woodville Road by Officer Daniel Austin on a charge of driving to endanger.

Turkey shoot

5/22 at 7:29 a.m. Police responded to a report of a single gunshot behind a residence on Falmouth Road. Officers reportedly found several turkey hunters who had recently taken a shot at a bird. The hunters were reportedly the requisite distance from the nearby residences, so officers left the scene.

Make way for ducklings

5/22 at 2:03 p.m. Officer Kevin Conger Jr. responded to an animal complaint on Northledge Terrace. The complainant reported that a flock of ducklings were trapped under her garage and that the mother duck was “freaking out.” When the officer arrived and attempted to extricate the ducklings, the mother duck attacked him. He managed to free the ducklings without any serious injuries and the mother duck reportedly calmed down.

Senioritis ends in summons

5/28 at 1:38 p.m. An officer reportedly witnessed a young driver weaving all over the road in front of the middle school while his passenger hung out the window. Officer Daniel Austin was reportedly concerned that the passenger would be pitched from the vehicle and summonsed the driver, Sean McGrady, 18, of Windham, for driving to endanger. McGrady reportedly told police he and his passenger were just excited about their last day of school.
