6/27 at 7:00 p.m. Kirkley Lowe Jr., 44, of Woodlawn Avenue, Portland, was arrested by Harbormaster Al Twombley and charged with violating condition of release.

6/28 at 12:48 a.m. Andrew Wing, 21, of Hillside Road, Portland, was arrested by Officer Dean Mazziotti and charged with operating under the influence.

6/28 at 5:08 p.m. Daniel Weston, 36, of Howard Street, Portland, was arrested by Harbormaster Al Twombley on a warrant.

Summonses

6/30 at 9:22 p.m. A female juvenile, 17, of Yarmouth, was issued a summons by Officer Steven Townsend on a charge of operating a vehicle without a license.

Truck struck pole, outed power

6/28 at 12:48 a.m. The driver of a truck he had allegedly taken from his boss went through a stop sign in the early morning fog at the intersection of Mountain and Blackstrap roads and struck a telephone pole, snapping it in half and leaving many in the area without power for five hours. According to police, the driver of the truck, Andrew Wing, 21, of Hillside Road, Portland, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.

Musical chairs

7/1 at 7:35 p.m. A Leighton Road resident reported that during the previous night, someone had moved a lawn chair around to the side of the house and apparently tried to gain access to through a window. The screen had small holes that were new, but no one had entered the home. When police investigated, neighbors told them they had observed that their outdoor chairs had been moved underneath a window during the night, as well.

Hazardous mail

7/6 At about 9:30 a.m., the Falmouth Fire Department was called for a possible hazmat situation to TD Banknorth off Maine Turnpike exit 53. According to Fire Chief Howard Rice, who declined to give any details, the department determined it was not a job for hazmat and let the Postal Service take care of it.
