Summonses

6/29 at 4:54 p.m. Jessie Mains, 31, of Pownal, was summonsed at the Falmouth Shopping Center by Officer Stephen Hamilton on a charge of failure to notify police of a motor vehicle accident.

7/9 at 10:27 a.m. Erica Walker, 21, of Portland, was summonsed on Route 1 by Sgt. George Savidge on a charge of operating after a license was suspended or revoked.

Explosive neighbors

7/10 at 9:40 p.m. Police responded to a call from a neighbor reporting children setting off illegal fireworks in the road on Preservation Drive. Police reportedly contacted the homeowner, who allegedly told police he knew nothing of the incident, but that it would not happen again.

Saw and hose thief

7/12 at 10:38 a.m. A caller reported seeing a suspicious man walking out of the woods with a bag, then getting into a car on Leighton Road. When police arrived, a homeowner on Leighton Road reported the theft of a pressure washer hose and a saw from the garage, valued at $400. The alleged thief was gone by the time officers arrived and has not yet been located.

Adorable and abandoned

7/13 at 2:37 p.m. An officer responded to an animal complaint at Presumpscot River Park where he discovered two tiny kittens had been abandoned. The officer took the kittens to the shelter.
