1/17 at 6:09 a.m. Matthew R. Whitten, 35, of Lull Drive, White Hall, Ariz., was arrested by Officer Steve Chard and charged with operating under the influence and possession of marijuana.

1/19 at 4:53 p.m. Arthur Facteau, 47, of Washington Avenue, Portland, was arrested by Officer Dean Mazziotto on a warrant.

Summonses

1/15 at 9:38 p.m. Thomas Joyce, 18, of Casco Street, Portland, was summonsed by Officer Kurt Fegan on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Inebriated and incapacitated

1/12 at 5:59 a.m. According to police, a tow truck operator had answered a call for service from Matthew Whitten, of Arizona, whose front tires were off the pavement and slightly over the embankment of the park and ride on Gray Road. When the tow operator arrived, he believed Whitten was intoxicated and called police. Officers arrested Whitten on charges of operating under the influence and possession of marijuana.

Bussed and busted

1/19 at 3:15 p.m. A METRO bus operator called police to remove a rider who was reportedly causing a disturbance on the bus. Arthur Facteau, 47, of Washington Avenue, Portland, was allegedly yelling and finger pointing at other riders. Facteau was removed by officers at the Shaw’s Supermarket stop and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Hurt and helped

1/20 at 10:04 a.m. The animal control officer answered a call from Pine Tree Waste, Inc., which had rescued an injured sea gull on Allen Avenue Extension. The gull was taken to Windham for rehabilitation.
