8/17 at 5:22 p.m. Joshua Hampton, 28, of Birch Drive, Gorham, was arrested by Officer Steve Hamilton on a warrant.

8/18 at 1:12 a.m. Andrea Rand, 53, of Ramsdell Road, Falmouth, was arrested by Sgt. Frank Soule and charged with allowing minors to possess or consume liquor and obstructing government administration (disorderly conduct).

8/19 at 10 p.m. Kirk Williams, 19, of Ocean Avenue, Portland, was arrested by Officer George Savidge on a warrant.

Took a lawn turn

8/17 at 1:33 p.m.  A woman who lives on Gray Road called police to report that someone – and she told the officer she suspected it was her husband – drove a vehicle across her front lawn and around to the back yard, damaging the grass. The officer found no damage and there were no witnesses to the incident.

8/17 at 23:28 p.m. Police responded to a party on Ramsdell Road after receiving a noise complaint from neighbors. When officers entered the house, the homeowner, Andrea Rand, 53, was allegedly hiding in a closet. According to police, she took off and escaped through a window. Police eventually caught up with her and arrested her for allowing minors to possess or consume alcohol and disorderly conduct. They also summonsed six minors on a charge of minors possessing liquor.

Too close a call

8/19 at 11:00 a.m.  A Goldenrod Lane resident arrived home with her young child and interrupted a burglar who ran down from the second floor and out into the woods. Jewelry and cash were stolen and a police investigation is underway.
