8/14 at 2:48 a.m. Douglas Shores, 47, of Hurricane Road, Falmouth, was arrested on Gray Road by Officer Kurt Fegan on a charge of operating under the influence.

8/18 at 3:54 a.m. Dudley Irwin, 22, of Blackstrap Road, Falmouth, was arrested on Blackstrap Road by Officer Steve Townsend on a charge of disorderly conduct.

8/19 at 12:30 p.m. Brian Beasley, 18, of Sunset Road, Falmouth, was arrested at Walton Park by Officer Robert Susi on charges of burglary of a motor vehicle, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and possession of marijuana.

8/20 at 9:30 a.m. Kevin Alling, 46, of Norway, was arrested on Ridgewood Road by Sgt. Frank Soule on a warrant for another agency.

8/20 at 11:42 p.m. Ella Knight, 36, of Clearwater Drive, Falmouth, was arrested at Walmart by Sgt. Kevin Conger on a charge of violating the conditions of release.

8/2 at 4:12 p.m. Deidra Stanchfield, 26, of Augusta, was summonsed at Lamey Wellehan by Officer Robert Susi on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

8/11 at 7:05 a.m. Marissa Willey, 19, of Westbrook, was summonsed on Blackstrap Road by Officer Daniel Austin on a juvenile warrant for another agency.

8/13 at 6:27 a.m. James Woodward, 46, of Westbrook, was summonsed on Falmouth Road by Officer Daniel Austin on a charge of sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

8/19 at 12:30 p.m. Thomas Caswell, 18, of Lakeside Drive, Falmouth, was summonsed at Walton Park by Officer Robert Susi on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Camping at the library

8/18 at 6:09 p.m. Library employees called police to report the discovery of ratty camping equipment on library property. Police took possession of the equipment, but could not find the owners.

Elderly targeted in Jamaica scam

8/19 at 1:50 p.m. Police responded to a call from a Walmart employee reporting that an elderly gentleman had come into the store twice looking to wire money to Jamaica. Lt. John Kilbride interviewed the man, who said that he had received phone calls from Jamaica telling him he won the lottery and a Mercedes car. He only had to wire them $700 to receive his winnings. When he tried to send the money the first time, the Walmart employee sent him home. The people from Jamaica reportedly called back and told him to send $1,400 the next day. Kilbride said there have been several recent incidents of people from Jamaica attempting to scam older people. One woman reportedly wired $14,000 before a bank employee contacted police.

Stage 5 clinger

8/19 at 11:19 p.m. Police responded to Walmart where a woman was reportedly clinging to the store manager’s leg, refusing to let go. The caller believed the woman was highly intoxicated. When police arrived, the woman reportedly fled into the woods. She was eventually found and police discovered she had bail conditions prohibiting alcohol consumption. Ella Knight, 36, of Clearwater Drive, Falmouth, was charged with violating conditions of release.
