8/9 at 8:21 p.m. Sean M. Fusco, 25, of Eleanor Street, Portland, was arrested on Allen Avenue Extension by Officer Jeff Pardue on a charge of operating under the influence.

8/9 at 9:40 p.m. Ricky Chase, 55, of Ledgeview Lane, Bath, was arrested on Middle Road by Sgt. Frank Soule on a charge of operating under the influence.

Summonses

8/5 at 2:40 p.m. Tobias English, 44, of Middle Road, was issued a summons on Middle Road by Officer Lucas Hallett on a charge of operating while a license was suspended or revoked.

8/5 at 10:41 p.m. James H. Markley, 18, of Hartford Avenue, was issued a summons on Route 1 by Sgt. Kevin Conger on a charge of possession of marijuana.

8/6 at 1:19 p.m. Kelly J. McGeough, 19, of Sumac Street, Portland, was issued a summons on Merrill Road by Officer Daniel Austin on a charge of sale and use of drug paraphernalia.

8/6 at 11:07 p.m. Edward F. Walsh, 18, of Deepwood Drive, Portland, was issued a summons on Martins Point Bridge by Sgt. Kevin Conger on a charge of possession of liquor by a minor.

8/6 at 11:07 p.m. Rudolph N. DiMillo, 19, of Deering Run Drive, Portland, was issued a summons on Martins Point Bridge by Sgt. Kevin Conger on a charge of possession of marijuana.

When you gotta go …

8/5 at 4:32 p.m. A caller reported that a speed limit sign had been vandalized on Blackstrap Road. The caller said the S and D had been painted over, leaving the sign reading “PEE LIMIT 35.” Police have ordered a replacement sign.

Car crashes into house

8/9 at 7:09 p.m. Police, fire and rescue all responded to a car accident on Allen Avenue Extension and Ledgewood Drive, where the driver drove through the intersection and into a home. No one was home at the time, and the driver, Sean M. Fusco, 25, of Portland, who was the only one in the car, was not injured. He was arrested at the scene and charged with operating under the influence of drugs. Police estimate there was approximately $30,000 in damage to the home.

Roadside bombs

8/10 at 8:45 a.m. Police responded to a report of two improvised explosive devices on Bowdoin Drive. The two small hand-made bombs were on the side of the road. Police used specialized tools to disengage the chemical bombs, then removed them from the area. No suspects have yet been identified.

Power struggle

8/10 at 6:44 p.m. A Central Maine Power Co. employee called police to report that a resident of Applegate Lane had threatened to kill all the CMP line workers. Officers made contact with the resident, who told them he had no intention of hurting anyone and that he was frustrated with the power company. Officers informed him that CMP may pursue charges.
