7/29 at 8:30 p.m. Jamie M. Veilleux, 25, of Limington, was arrested on Route 1 by Officer Stephen Hamilton on charges of violating condition of release, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and on a warrant.

7/31 at 9:35 p.m. David Ritchie, 34, of Tramway Lane, Westbrook, was arrested on Brook Road by Sgt. Kevin Conger on a charge of possession of marijuana and on a warrant.

8/3 at 4:37 p.m. Jonathan C. Ladd, 28, of Neal Street, Portland, was arrested on Bucknam Road by Officer Lucas Hallett on charges of operating while a license was suspended or revoked and attaching false plates.

8/4 at 12:28 a.m. Julie T. Farris, 31, of State Street, Portland, was arrested on Route 1 by Officer Dean Mazziotti on a charge of operating under the influence.

Summonses

7/26 at 7:15 p.m. Cuong Hung, 41, of Ocean Street, Portland, was issued a summons on Middle Road by Officer Jeff Pardue on a charge of operating a vehicle without a license.

7/28 at 5:21 p.m. Corey A. Baker, 28, of Depot Road, was issued a summons on Woodville Road by Officer Jeff Pardue on a charge of operating a vehicle without a license.

7/29 at 1:14 p.m. Donald J. Olderen, 63, of Middle Street, Bath, was issued a summons on Scittery Gussett Drive by Officer Steven Townsend on a charge of operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

8/1 at 1:01 p.m. Scott H. Duclos, 34, of Lamb Street, Westbrook, was issued a summons on Route 1 by Officer Stephen Hamilton on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Batty call

8/2 at 11 a.m. A man on Foreside Road called police to report there was a bat flying loose in his house. An officer responded and removed the animal.

Clearing the median

8/4 at 12:14 a.m. Police responded to a car accident on Route 1 and Andrews Avenue where a woman allegedly drove over the median and ran into plants and street signs, causing considerable damage to the vehicle and the decorative median. Upon arrival, officers immediately arrested Julie T. Farris, 31, of Portland, for operating under the influence. She was reportedly not injured in the accident and no one else was in the vehicle.

Difficult detour

8/4 at 3:33 a.m. Police responded to a caller on Gray Road reporting that someone had put orange traffic cones all over the roadway. Police removed the cones.

Breaking and boozing

8/4 at 2:26 p.m. A homeowner on Longwoods Road called police to report that someone broke into his house and stole beer and a bottle of Jack Daniels. The caller reportedly told police this was the second time this had happened, although he had not reported it the first time. Police reportedly found evidence of forced entry, but currently have no suspects.
