4/18 at 12:55 a.m. Troy Babb, 44, of New Gloucester, was arrested by Sgt. Frank Soule, on a charge of operating under the influence.

Summonses

3/27 at 3:13 p.m. Kyle Buchanan, 19, of Longwoods Road, was summonsed by Patrolman Stephen Hamilton on a charge of unauthorized taking or transfer at Shaw’s Supermarket.

You’ve (no longer) got mail

4/18 at 12:14 a.m. At least nine mailboxes have reportedly been attacked by vandals in the past week. Some mailboxes reportedly appear to have been beaten, while others have been shot with guns. One mailbox was even reportedly destroyed by an explosive device. In one case, a beer can was tied to the mailbox post with a blue bandanna. Police do not currently have any leads.

4/21 at 6:20 p.m. A resident walked into the police office to report a stolen street sign. The sign was for a private drive called Rabbit Way. Several private street signs have been reportedly stolen in the past few weeks.

Stolen drawers

4/22 at 5:06 p.m. A caller reported that an antique bureau worth $2,300 was stolen out of his unlocked garage. The caller said he did not notice the bureau missing until now, but that it may have been stolen several weeks ago.
