FALMOUTH — The town now offers live video streaming of meetings and Community Access Channel 2 programming on its Web site, town.falmouth.me.us.

The new service includes an on-demand feature for previously recorded meetings, allowing allows viewers the option to select individual agenda items that act like chapters within a DVD, according to Mike McDade, Falmouth’s station manager.

The online service, which requires Microsoft’s Silverlight computer plug-in for viewing, will cost the town about $3,000 a year and will enable residents without cable to watch all programs and meetings shown on the public access station. Available meetings include Town Council, Planning Board, School Board and Zoning Board; most will be posted in the on-demand section within a week of their occurrence.
