FALMOUTH — A 31-year-old man was arrested in Connecticut on charges stemming from an alleged home invasion on Fox Run Road in January.

Sherman Stigler and another man allegedly entered the home forcibly on Jan. 12 and assaulted the homeowner. According to a press release from the Falmouth Police Department, the men then “made him extract money from a local bank.” The press release said the crime was drug-related and all parties involved were known to each other.

Falmouth Police Lt. John Kilbride said officers from the Willimantic (Connecticut) Police Department arrested Stigler July 18. He was charged with robbery, aggravated criminal trespass, kidnapping, burglary and assault.

Stigler was indicted on the charges  July 5 in Portland. He was scheduled for arraignment and an extradition hearing in Danielson Superior Court in Connecticut.
