Falmouth’s Gabrielle Cyr, an eighth grader at Falmouth Middle School, recently won the National Archery championship in Louisville, Ky. Cyr, who won the state title previously, was in third place after the first day of shooting, tied for overall points after the second day, then broke the tie by winning a five-arrow “sudden death” shootoff. Cyr has also been named to the U.S. Cadet team.
