Falmouth ace Cam Guarino, a rising senior, got the opportunity to pitch at Citi Field, the home of the New York Mets, last week for the Student Athlete Community Service Network team at the Met Ball Classic, a showcase for scouts ahead of next year’s professional draft. Guarino threw one inning on the Mets’ mound, throwing 11 pitches, nine for strikes. He struck out two batters and got a third to ground out to shortstop. SACSN, one of just six teams invited, placed fourth in the tournament.
