FALMOUTH — Falmouth 300 is seeking original photos, poems, music, paintings, video and more to articulate through art, sound and words what makes Falmouth so special.

Residents have until Sept. 15 to submit their art piece in a digital format. The submissions will then be incorporated into a presentation that will be online and shown during events this fall.

“This is not a competition. This is just for fun,” the 300th website states. “It is a community project to commemorate and celebrate our favorite Falmouth for future generations.”

There is a maximum of two entries per person and all submissions must be sent to falmouth300@falmouthme.org with a “My Favorite Falmouth” tag in the subject line.

Written submissions are limited to 200 words; video and audio submissions are limited to 30 seconds. All participants are asked to use the most commonly available digital format and one that requires no specialized software to open.

The body of the email must also include, name, address, phone, email, the title of the piece, if any, and an optional artist’s statement, which should be no more than 100 words.

In addition, if the piece is specific to a location in Falmouth, applicants are asked to indicate where.
