3/29 at 7:39 p.m. Jewel Peabbles, 42, of Gray Road, Falmouth, was issued a summons by Officer Dean Mazziotti on a charge of operating with suspended registration.

Target practice

3/28 at 8:56 p.m. A Ledgewood Drive resident called police to report he’d heard six small-caliber gunshots coming from the direction of the river. He told the officers he though it was in the old Presumpscot dump area, but the officers were unable to locate anyone.

Back to the ’60s

3/30 at 5:42 p.m. A Route 1 Shaw’s Supermarket employee told police a man cashing a payroll check had handed the clerk two pills and claimed they would make him “groovy.” An officer confiscated the pills to have them analyzed. Depending on the results, police said an arrest could be what’s happenin’ for the groovy guy.

Relieved but disturbing

4/3 at 1:37 a.m. An officer discovered a man and a woman loitering at Nina’s Variety on Bucknam Road after they had both stopped to relieve themselves in the woods nearby. The officers checked their identification and told them to move along.

3/28 at 8:45 p.m. Fire alarm, Route 1.

3/30 at 9:05 a.m. Fire inspection, Grist Mill Drive.
