PORTLAND — Traffic will be restricted along Valley and Presumpscot streets this week while the city repaves portions of the roads, City Hall spokeswoman Nicole Clegg said Monday.
Starting today and continuing through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, one block of Valley Street will be closed between A and Congress streets. Traffic will be detoured to C, Gilman and St. John streets.
Presumpscot Street may be restricted Wednesday and Thursday while the city repaves a one-mile stretch of the street between Providence Street and Ocean Avenue.
That paving work will be done between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m each day. Traffic will flow in both directions during most of the work, but at times may be restricted to alternating one-way flow.
