HARPSWELL — Ellen Elizabeth Proctor, 66, died Jan. 31 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Proctor was born on Feb. 15, 1945, to Frank and Ruth Downs Peabody in Bath. She was educated in the Harpswell school system and later graduated from Brunswick High School. She graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in 1967.
On June 28, 1978, she married Willard Proctor at the Elijah Kellogg Congregational Church in Harpswell.
She retired from the Bath Iron Works financial division in February 2007 after more than 34 years of service.
Proctor was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Will; son Timothy Halpin; grandson Matthew Halpin; cousin Deborah Downs Hirst and her husband, Brian; her cat, Buddy; and many wonderful friends.
In respect of her wishes there will be no services.
