WEST BATH – Elizabeth Rosalie (Morse) Malcolm, 77, passed away Oct. 4, after a long illness.

Malcolm was born in North Bath on March 19, 1938, to Claire and Fred Morse. She attended Morse High School, where she made many lifelong friends; she was known for her bright smile and bubbly disposition.

With a door always open, an ear ready to listen or a shoulder to cry on, Malcolm enjoyed close relationships with her large, extended family.

Most recently, artistic endeavors filled Malcolm’s days, and selling her creations at fairs and on eBay brought her many hours of joy. Malcolm was a homemaker and surrogate mother to many neighborhood children; the Malcolm front yard often overflowed with screaming children, laughter and commotion.

Malcolm was predeceased by a son, Steven; her parents; two brothers, Fred “Teddy” and Charles; and a sister, Clara.

Malcolm is survived by her husband of 60 years; three sons, Perry, Rick and Timothy; a daughter, Susan; two brothers, Frank and Bruce; two sisters, Myrtle and Freda; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service was held Oct. 5, Orchard Hill Cemetery in West Bath.
