PORTLAND — Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Campbell, 57, died Jan. 2, in Florida, after a short illness.

She was born in Portland May 24, 1958, to Margaret and William Campbell.

Campbell was a lifelong resident of Portland who was always the life of the party. She loved to engage people in conversation, whether they were family, friends or strangers. She was also known to be a very independent and hard-working woman, as well as a devoted mother, sister and grandmother.

Campbell enjoyed taking frequent trips to Florida to visit her daughter. She was also a regular at the bingo hall, and liked gambling at the casino with family and friends.

She was predeceased by a brother, James Campbell.

She is survived by two daughters, Tina Campbell and Tammy Worden; two grandchildren, Marcus Mello and Leana Worden; four sisters, Karen Dominguez, Diana Gormley, Kathryn Bugayong and Donna Ramos; two brothers, Patrick and Stephen Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life will be held.
