BRUNSWICK — Edwin F. Chesley, 60, died June 12 at Inland Hospital in Waterville.
He was born in Saugus, Mass., on July 13, 1948, a son of Francis E. and Evelyn (Lockridge) Chesley.
As a young boy, he moved to Texas and attended local schools before enlisting in the U.S. Navy. He served in the Navy for 23 years before retiring in 1991 as Chief Petty Officer.
In 1968, he married Nancy Cash.
After his retirement, he worked at L.L. Bean in Waterville. He also pursued his education, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Southern New Hampshire.
He is survived by his wife of Brunswick; his son, Todd of Brunswick; his daughter, Jennifer Chesley of Litchfield; and a brother, Daniel Chesley of Garland, Texas.
There will be private family services.
Arrangements are by Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
