BATH — Edgar L. McNelly, 64, died Jan. 8 at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a long illness.
He was born in Brunswick on July 2, 1944, a son of Verl W. and Helen I. (Gray) McNelly.
He graduated from Morse High School in 1963.
He entered the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Valley Forge in Vietnam.
He enjoyed gardening and dancing.
He is survived by four brothers, Roger V. and his wife Phyllis McNelly of North Bath, Everett McNelly of West Bath, Dale McNelly of West Bath, and Jeffrey and his wife Laura McNelly of Waldoboro; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Memorial services were held earlier this week.
Arrangements are by David E. Desmond & Son Funeral Home, Bath.
