SCARBOROUGH — The public is invited to the Scarborough Public Library for an Earth Day Festival on Sunday, April 22.
The event, at 48 Gorham Road, runs from noon- 3 p.m. and will celebrate two new installations at the library: an electric vehicle charging station and a rooftop solar panel array.
Earth Day activities will include live music by The Incredulous String Band, electric vehicle demonstrations by Pape Chevrolet, exhibits by community environmental organizations, and a Minecraft Lab where players can build virtual solar arrays in the library’s Minecraft world. An official ribbon cutting will take place at 1 p.m.
