BRUNSWICK — The committee overseeing a comprehensive vision document for the downtown area will hold a series of workshops beginning June 15.

The work sessions are sponsored by the Project for Public Spaces, an international non-profit. The sessions will focus on several issues, including how to connect Brunswick neighborhoods with the downtown; enhanced vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian movement, and connecting the anticipated arrival of the Amtrak Downeaster to downtown business.

The workshops are being hosted by the Downtown Master Plan Committee, the Maine Department of Transportation and the Planning Department.

The workshops will begin June 15 at 5 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation Department, 30 Federal St. Another workshop will be held June 16 at the rec department at 5:30 p.m. A third workshop will be held June 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the First Parish Church’s Vestry on Maine Street.
