'Downton Abbey' finale to screen in Portland

PORTLAND — The Maine Public Broadcasting Network announced it will hold a special screening of the final episode of the television series “Downton Abbey” at the State Theater March 6.

The event is free, but tickets are limited and must be secured in advance at mpbn.net. The screening begins at 2 p.m. and doors open at 1 p.m.

A jazz group will perform prior to the screening, and MPBN will host a raffle for authentic props from the show’s set: Lady Edith’s silver hair brush and hand mirror. Raffle tickets are $10, and the winner must be present to win.
