Six-year-old Chae-Hee, whose family is originally from Korea, and her friend, 7-year-old Emma Murphy, enjoy a ride down the hill at Payson Park in Portland on Saturday, Jan. 19, during the ninth WinterKids Welcome to Winter Festival. The annual event is aimed at immigrant and refugee families who may be new to Maine and the joys of outdoor winter recreation.
