SCARBOROUGH — Douglas A. Hall, 71, of Robinson Road, died Dec. 6 at his home.

Hall was born in Portland on April 1, 1943, a son of Leslie A. and Christine O. (Hawkes) Hall. He attended Portland schools and graduated from Deering High school, with the Class of 1961. He continued his education at the University of Maine at Portland and received a bachelor of science degree in accounting.

He married Karen L. McKeough on June 4, 1966, at St. Dominic’s Church in Portland.

Hall worked for years in retail management with W.T. Grant stores, before moving on to accounting and human resource management for Ellis Paperboard and D&G Machine Products.

He was an avid golfer and a 50-year member of Riverside Municipal Golf Course, where he was a former city champion. In 2012, he was inducted into the University of Maine Golf Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed drawing, painting and taking trips to Oxford Casino.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years; two sons, Christopher A. Hall and wife Lucy, of Biddeford, and David T. Hall and wife Courtney, of Windham; a sister, Janice Risbara and husband Frank, of Scarborough; a grandchild, Taylor Hall, of Windham; three brothers-in-law, Wayne McKeough and wife Sarah, of North Carolina, Richard McKeough and wife Hazel, of South Portland, and Hugh McKeough and wife Kathy, of Westbrook; a sister-in-law, Ann Jacobs and husband Matthew, of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours and a memorial service were held Dec. 11 at Conroy-Tully Crawford South Portland Chapel. Burial will be at a future date.
