BRUNSWICK — Dorothy E. Jensen, 87, died peacefully at Mid Coast Hospital April 13.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Oct. 7, 1922, she was the daughter of Arthur W. and May Slafer Fastert (Forrester), and was educated in the local schools.

On July 3, 1941, she married Harold C. Jensen and they made their home in Watagh, N.Y.

During the Korean War she worked as a riveter at an airplane defense plant.

She later worked for Northeast Airlines as a reservationist and a manager of the VIP Lounge, and met many celebrities including Ingrid Bergman and Frank Sinatra.

In 1982 she and her husband retired to Boca Raton, Fla., and spent summers at their Phippsburg cottage. Since November 2009 she had lived at Sunnybrook Village.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband.

A generous person, she always saw the humor in everything.

She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years on Aug. 16, 1988.

Surviving are her daughter, Marjorie A. Nichols and her husband Jeff of Phippsburg; a brother, Arthur Forrester and his wife Rachel of Macro Island, Fla., and Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Christopher, Rebecca, Brendan, and Suzannah; and five great-grandchildren Zoe, Delaney, Braden, Ethan and Madison.

Services will be announced at a later time.
