LIMINGTON — Dorothy Ann Cousins, 74, died June 25 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.  

Born in Portland, a daughter of Elizabeth Durgin Neault Brown, she was educated in Berwick schools, and received her GED from Gorham High School.  

On Nov. 15, 1956, she married Alton Harris Cousins.

In addition to raising their six children, she also worked in sales for WT Grant before she was employed by National Semiconductor.

She enjoyed dancing with her husband Alton at Country Crossroads, camping with her family, gardening, quilting and sewing.

She was predeceased by her mother Elizabeth Neault Brown and stepfather Raymond Brown, sister Marjorie Mason and Richard J. Mason, granddaughter Michelle Lynn Morrell and Keith Eugene Morrell, Pearley K. Goodwin and Arnold J. Ashline.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Alton Harris Cousins, a resident at the Barron Center in Portland; six children, Lu Ann Morrell of Westbrook, Donald Lewis Cousins and wife Sandra Lou of Meredith, N.H., Gail Marie Clement and husband Stephen of Standish, Lee Eric Cousins of Limington, Sandra Mae Garland and husband Carlton Merrill Garland, Jr., of Meredith, N.H., Ruth Ellen Kenney and husband Edward Wayne Kenney of Meredith, N.H.; a sister, Barbara Goodwin of Berwick; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 30 at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Barron Center in Portland on behalf of Alton Cousins.
