BRUNSWICK — Doris J. Davis, 90, died March 19 at Mid Coast Hospital.
On June 27, 1920, she was born in Jay, the daughter of Harold B. and Eda Chadburn Swift, and graduated from Jay schools.
In August 1942 she married Woodbury W. Davis Sr.
After she graduated from Central Maine School of Nursing, she worked as a nurse at Brunswick Hospital, Regional Memorial Hospital and in private duty.
She looked forward to attending the class reunions of her adopted high school class, Brunswick High School class of 1934.
Her hobbies included reading and watching sports on television.
She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Woodbury Davis Sr., two sons, Lorne Davis and Woodbury Davis Jr., and two brothers, Edgar H. Swift and Ronald Swift.
Survivors include a son, Andrew W. Davis of Brunswick; daughter-in-law Iris Davis of Brunswick; two grandchildren, Barbara Samson and her husband Scott of Lisbon Falls and Woodbury Davis III of Brunswick; and two great-grandchildren, Geoffery Samson and Megan Samson.
At her request, there will be no services.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick.
