BATH — Officials are searching for the individual or individuals who allegedly broke into the Patten Free Library early Friday, Oct. 23, and made off with a donation jar.

According to a statement from the library, a fundraiser had been ongoing for educational materials since Sept. 1 and the container had about $1,200 worth of change.

The fundraiser was going to run until the container was full.

Anybody with information on the incident should contact the library at 443-5141 or Bath police at 443-5563.
