Eighty people, including the mother of 15-month-old Hela Fabbar, became U.S. citizens Friday, April 18, in a ceremony at Lyman Moore Middle School in Portland. It was the fourth time a naturalization ceremony was held at the school as part of a seven-week learning program on immigration. Hela’s mother, Azhar Fabbar, from Iraq, is in the background.
