In Portland on New Year’s Eve, Cinque Terre, 36 Wharf St., will offer a four-course menu for $50 per person. At Cinque Terre’s sister restaurant, Vignola, 10 Dana St.,  the four-course menu is $42.50 per person excluding tax and gratuity. Both restaurants will have cocktail and wine specials will offer their regular a la carte menus.

Figa Restaurant, 249 Congress St., will offer two dinner seatings on New Year’s Eve at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. From 10 p.m. to midnight there will be passed hors d’oeuvres, live music and a cash bar. Tickets are $30 per person.

On Long Island, Capt. Perry’s Cafe, 3 Garfield Ponce Landing, will host a New Year’s Eve dinner from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The $60-per-couple price includes a boat ticket or a beverage. Reservations are suggested and cash or checks are accepted. Call 329-6732 or e-mail Captperrys@myfairpoint.net.

The Sea Glass restaurant at Cape Elizabeth’s Inn by the Sea will offer a four-course tasting menu on New Year’s Eve for $75 per person. The restaurant opens at 5:30 p.m. and reservations are encouraged. Call 799-3134 for more information.

In Brunswick, the Captain Daniel Stone Inn, 10 Water St., will host a New Year’s Eve wine-tasting dinner at the inn’s No. 10 Water restaurant. The dinner starts at 6 p.m. with a reception featuring sparkling wine and local artisan cheese. The five-course meal is paired with wines and starts at 6:30 p.m. The price is $65 per person excluding tax and gratuity. To make reservations, call 373-9299 or 877-373-2374.

In other dining news, Otto Pizza, with Portland locations at 576 Congress St. and 225 Congress St., will open a third outpost in Cambridge, Mass., at 1432  Massachusetts Ave. in Harvard Square.

Litza’s, formerly Donatelli’s Variety at 1223 Washington Ave. in Portland has closed. A sign at the store indicates a Chinese restaurant is coming soon.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, a nationwide fast-food chain that serves burritos and tacos, opened its first store in Maine at 359 Maine Mall Road, near the Wyndham Portland Airport Hotel in South Portland.

The Portland Harbor Hotel‘s annual Ice Bar celebration will open on Thursday, Jan. 27. This year, a limited number of tickets are available for each evening and will be sold in advance, online, through Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets will not be available at the door and are $15-$21 per person.

The Ice Bar is open from 5 to 9:30 p.m. each day. Proceeds from the event will benefit local nonprofits.
