SOUTH PORTLAND — The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking input from landowners near Long Creek ahead of developing new storm-water permitting requirements for the urban-impaired watershed.

The DEP is evaluating pollution prevention measures, like maintenance and operations of storm-water systems, to meet a federal mandate to clean up the 3.5-square-mile watershed in South Portland, Portland, Scarborough and Westbrook.

A meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 23, will run from 1-3 p.m. at Fairchild Semiconductor, 333 Western Ave., and include a discussion led by DEP Environmental Specialist Jeff Dennis.
