More than 4,500 people attended caucuses in more than 400 Maine municipalities, surpassing the 2010 caucus turnout by almost 2,000, the Maine Democratic Party said. The participants selected delegates to the state Democratic convention, elected municipal and county committee officials, and discussed local, state and national policy issues.
