Deering’s Keegan Stanton breaks free for a touchdown run during the Rams’ 22-20 win over rival Portland in last Thursday’s 106th annual Thanksgiving Day showdown. Deering also got two touchdown runs from Jack Lynch and a safety, which was just enough to hold off the Bulldogs, who got a TD run from Terion Moss, a long run from Vinnie Pasquali and a touchdown pass from Moss to Sam Knop.

Deering’s players and coaches celebrate the victory. The Rams beat the Bulldogs for the first time since 2012 and cut Portland’s all-time lead to 58-41, with seven ties. Deering’s Matt Hanson won the James Banks Unsung Hero Award. Deering’s Keegan Stanton took home the Merv Kilgore Award as his team’s Most Valuable Player. Portland’s Vinnie Pasquali won the Vinnie Allen Award as his team’s MVP.
