LITCHFIELD — Dana E. Orr, 61, formerly of Brunswick, died Aug. 18 at his home.

He was born in Brunswick on Oct. 13, 1953, the son of Kenneth and Anne (Purinton) Orr. Dana graduated from Brunswick High School in 1971.

For over 30 years, he worked in the paving industry, employed by Granite Paving, Crookers, Blue Rock Industries and Bulick Paving.

On July 3, 1999, Orr married Eka Folia Widjaja of Indonesia.

Since 2006, the couple has owned and operated the Route 126 Family Quik-Stop in Litchfield.

Orr enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was also an avid bowler and puzzle-solver, and an excellent cook who was known for his spicy chili.

Orr is survived by his wife, Eka, of Litchfield; his two daughters, Tia and Brianna Orr, both of Litchfield; his mother, Anne Orr, of Brunswick; his brothers, Scott Orr and his wife, Katherine, of Amherst, New Hampshire, and Alan Orr and his wife, Judy, of West Bath; his sister, Sandra Warner, of Brunswick; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 27, from 6-8 p.m., at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m.
