Former Portland High and North Yarmouth Academy field hockey standout Kylie Dalbec, now playing at Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass., was recently chosen as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Field Hockey Player of the Year. Dalbec had eight goals, seven assists and 23 points. Dalbec, last season’s NECC Rookie of the Year, scored five game winners for the AMCATS, who went undefeated against NECC competition. Dalbec re-wrote the AMCAT record book in 2013, with career marks in goals (20), assists (13) and points (53) and now holds the AMCATS all-time mark in points (84).
