SCARBOROUGH — Cynthia M. Lawrence, 53, died July 2 following a courageous battle with cancer. 

Born on Feb. 7, 1957, in Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the Mary H. MacDonald and Charles Wilkins. 

Her life revolved around her family and most importantly, her children. 

She worked with her mother in the family’s West Cumberland store before beginning a career in banking with TD Bank.

Known for her kindness and willingness to help others, she was a dedicated mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend who found joy in caring for her family. 

Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Ken of West Cumberland; two children, her son Ryan, his wife Hilary, and her cherished grandson, Owen; and her daughter, and closest friend, Holly; brother Chick Wilkins and wife Robin, sister Carol and husband John Veader, brother Jay Wilkins and partner Cathy Manchester, sister Debbie MacDonald, brother David MacDonald and partner Trudy Emch; brother-in-law Peter Lawrence and wife Janine, brother-in-law David Lawrence and wife Trish, sister-in-law Gayle Cook, brother-in-law Alan Lawrence, brother-in-law Robbie Lawrence; and mother-in-law Joyce Lawrence; 23 nieces and nephews; seven grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral services will be private.
