CUMBERLAND — The town’s Wood Bank will host an open house and volunteer day Saturday, May 31, to process firewood for distribution this fall.
The event starts behind the Public Works garage on Drowne Road at 8 a.m. The goal is to split and prepare for delivery more than 30 cord of wood by the end of the day.
There will also be a demonstration of a new wood processor the bank hopes to purchase. A cookout for volunteers will be held throughout the day, and contributions are appreciated.
