Summonses

6/18 at 12:21 a.m. Jesse LeTourneau, 19, of Highland Avenue, Lewiston, was issued a summons by Sgt. Angelo Mazzone on a charge of operating after license suspension.

6/20 at 1:52 a.m. James Hussiere, 39, of Granite Ridge Road, New Gloucester, was issued a summons by Officer Christopher Woodcock on a charge of operating under the influence.

Make way for ducklings

6/10 at 9:20 a.m. The animal control officer was called to Foreside Road near Schooner Ridge to help out a mother duckling and her babies who appeared distressed as they tried to cross the street. When the officer arrived, the ducks were gone.

Coffee with those?

6/10 at 8:56 p.m. A resident called police to report several vehicles were doing donuts in the parking lot at Twin Brooks on Tuttle Road.

Snapping mom gives birth

6/13 at 9:27 a.m. Police received a report that a snapping turtle was laying her eggs on the shoulder of Tuttle Road near Twin Brooks. An officer positioned five or six orange cones around the mother turtle to protect her from traffic, reportedly stating “she has a long way to go.”

6/12 at 6:37 p.m. Fire close to structure, Maine Turnpike Service Plaza.

6/12 at 8:09 p.m. Smoke investigation, Route 1.

6/12 at 8:49 p.m. Unpermitted burn.

6/13 at 5:52 p.m. Vehicle crash, Maine Turnpike.

6/14 at 10:05 p.m. Propane gas alarm, Summit Terrace.

6/16 at 3:02 a.m. Vehicle crash, Blanchard Road.

6/18 at 12:04 p.m.  Medical with engine assist, Route 1.
