Police escort

7/8 at 3 p.m. The Main Street Mobil station reported that a woman driving a Dodge Neon had driven off without paying for her gas. An officer in North Yarmouth apprehended the woman and escorted her back to the Mobil station, where she paid $28 for the fuel.

Haunted high school

7/12 Shortly before 10 p.m., a Village Way resident called to report kids screaming in the Greely High School parking lot. They were probably near the front entrance, the caller said, and one kid was using abusive language. The caller didn’t know what they were doing and couldn’t see them. Police responded five minutes later, but could not locate any kids.
