PORTLAND — A three-part seminar series designed to provide resources, advice and insight into running a creative business in Maine will begin next week at the University of Southern Maine.

The first seminar, “Starting and Running a Creative Business in Maine,” will take place on Wednesday, June 2, in the Lee Community Hall in the Wishcamper Center 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Designer Angela Adams will moderate a discussion with Nashbox President Scott Nash, Global Content Partners Founder Rory Strunk and Mad Gabs President Gabrielle Melchionda.

“Financing Your Creative Business in Maine” will follow Sept. 15, and the series will conclude Nov. 17 with “Nurturing Creativity in Your Business.”

The seminars are part of the Creative Toolbox Series sponsored by the non-profit Maine Center for Creativity in collaboration with USM. Registration fees for each event are $15 for MCC members and non-USM students, and $35 for non-members. Admission is free for USM students.
