SCARBOROUGH — The Town Council may reconsider its decision to ban off-season parking on all Higgins Beach neighborhood roads except approximately 15 spaces on Bayview Avenue.

Councilor Carol Rancourt asked that the decision to ban off-season parking along much of Bayview Avenue be put on the agenda for Feb. 16. Councilors would have to approve a motion to reconsider.

Other sections of the ordinance change could also be reconsidered if Rancourt or other councilors who initially voted in favor of the measure ask to suspend the council rules and take up the issues.

Public comment will be taken on the issue if a majority of the council votes to take it up. If a majority does not vote in favor, the decision to ban most Higgins Beach neighborhood parking will stand.
