YARMOUTH — The town Fire and Rescue Department, along with the Parks Department and the Maine Forest Service are planning a small controlled burn in Pratt’s Brook Park, where lowbush blueberries used to grow.

The Parks Department will be on site removing trees to create firebreaks to contain the burn. The date of the burn is weather dependent, but will take place mid-week and the park will close to the public. For more information, contact Amanda Devine, Yarmouth’s Stewardship Coordinator at 221-6477.
