The one that got away

7/13 at 12 a.m. Officer Kevin Sager observed a vehicle travelling over the speed limit on the Casco Bay Bridge and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle didn't immediately stop, and reportedly instead turned on to Buttonwood Street, where the driver fled on foot, leaving the female passenger behind. Stephanie Pelletier, 18, a transient, was arrested on a charge of theft by unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The male driver got away.

Just passing by

7/15 at 6:20 p.m. Officer Philip Longanecker responded to a report of two women fighting in the street near Broadway and Burham Street. He determined that one of the females was walking home when a passenger in a vehicle recognized her and stopped to argue. Candace Brown, 48, of Westbrook, was arrested on charges of assault, disorderly conduct and violation of bail conditions.
