CMA boys swim to summer title

Led by a 13-14 year-old relay state record setting team (from left), Evan Long, Jerry Gravel, Marcus Cloutier and Trebor Lawton, Coastal Maine Aquatics won the state championship in a recent competition held in Saint John, New Brunswick. The annual championship was held in Canada since Maine does not have a 50-meter pool. CMA swimmers recorded more than 200 personal best times. In all, nine new state records were set by the team. Long, Gravel, Cloutier and Lawton set new records in each of the five events offered their age group. The 9-10 year-old team of Rhyan Cloutier, Andrew Herrera, Kyle Long and Marshall Peterson broke three relay records as well.
