Letter: Energy policy as an excuse for regulation

Thanks so much for the "Gone with the wind" article informing us about the Maine State Housing Authority's unforgivable waste of $1.1 million on poorly planned and incompetently executed solar- and wind-powered experiments that one community action (remember ACORN?) spokesperson had the nerve to excuse as a mere "learning curve" experience.

The whole issue of climate  change and energy conservation is deliberately being used by politicians as an excuse for regulating more and more of our daily lives, and unless this matter is taken much more seriously by the public, it may be too late to ever recover our lost freedom.
