Portland woman helps synchronized skating team medal

Portland's Caroline Paras (center) helped the Esprit de Corps Masters synchronized skating team finish second at the recent Eastern Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships in Lowell, Mass. Paras is in her first year of synchro. EDCM has won four national titles and five sectional crowns. This year's theme was "Simply Irresistible," featuring songs from Tom Jones, Prince and Robert Palmer. Program highlights included a triangle intersection, death drops, a six-spoke traveling wheel and change-foot spins in unison.
