LearningWorks hosts
game night, open house

PORTLAND — LearningWorks is hosting a game night and open house on Dec. 12 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at 181 Brackett St. in Portland for families served by LearningWorks.

At the event, LearningWorks plans to hand out 200 Game Night Bags with games, blankets and food, creating the opportunity for families to spend quality time together.

Individuals and community groups, including South Portland Girl Scout Troop 1529 and Wayside Soup Kitchen, contributed to the game night bags through fundraising and donations.

Portland Schools hold
holiday concerts

PORTLAND — Portland's public middle schools and high schools are performing concerts for the holiday season that are free and open to the public.

The schedule is as follows:

• 
Dec. 10, 7 p.m., Portland High School Orchestra concert.

• Dec. 15, 6 p.m., Moore Middle School concert; 7 p.m., Portland High School band and chorus concert.

• Dec. 16, 6 p.m., Lincoln Middle School concert; 7:15 p.m., Deering High School concert.

• Dec. 17, 6 p.m., King Middle School concert.
